AJNA Clinic in Ostrava: The World’s First Dental Practice to Introduce Molecular Hydrogen in Post-Treatment Recovery
Patients at the AJNA Dental Clinic in Ostrava are the first in the world to experience the benefits of molecular hydrogen directly at their dentist’s office as part of post-treatment care. The clinic’s leadership has partnered with Ostrava-based company H2 Global Group to implement a pioneering solution—introducing unique hydrogen-based devices and products to support patients’ recovery.
“Available research shows that molecular hydrogen can accelerate healing and reduce pain. That’s precisely what we want to offer clients at AJNA. And this is just the beginning,” says David Maršálek, President of H2 Global Group, whose company has patented this breakthrough innovation.
Making Dentistry Less Stressful
Drilling, extractions, implants—despite the advancements in modern dentistry, many still find dental treatments stressful and painful. “We are constantly looking for ways to make dental visits more pleasant, to ease pain, and to speed up wound healing after extractions or other procedures,” explains Dr Lubomír Beran, the clinic’s medical advisor and a highly experienced dentist.
After reading several scientific studies on molecular hydrogen, Dr Beran decided to try it for himself. He was pleasantly surprised by how energised he felt. “I’m 72 and have no plans to retire. But I do occasionally feel tired. Since I started inhaling hydrogen and drinking hydrogen-enriched water regularly, I’ve felt significantly better. That’s why I now offer it to all our patients after major procedures,” he says.
Partnering with a Global Hydrogen Leader
Dr Beran partnered with H2 Global Group—a global leader in hydrogen technology across health, spa & wellness, beauty, sports, agriculture and veterinary sectors. “Following discussions with Dr Beran, we supplied the AJNA clinic with our H2 Hydrogen Generator i300, the H2 Professional Water Generator, and the 6-in-1 Multifunctional Wellness Hydrogen Generator. These devices allow patients not only to inhale hydrogen but also to drink hydrogen-rich water. We also recommend H2 Dent Care tablets, which release molecular hydrogen upon contact with saliva. This supports healing and offers strong antioxidant effects,” explains David Maršálek.

Hydrogen in Dental Practice
In practice, after their dental procedure is complete, patients are guided to the hygiene room. There, they are comfortably seated, given nasal cannulas, and gently immersed in relaxing music while inhaling molecular hydrogen. They are also offered hydrogen-rich water during a 30-minute relaxation session.

“We’re only at the beginning,” Dr Beran says, “but I’m planning to create a dedicated recovery room where patients from all our clinics can come to relax and inhale hydrogen post-treatment.” He explains that stress is one of the main causes of oxidative damage due to free radicals. According to current scientific findings, molecular hydrogen helps restore balance by neutralising free radicals with beneficial antioxidants.
“I was introduced to hydrogen through our partnership with H2 Global Group, with whom we are now working on exciting joint projects to improve patient care. From them, I learnt about hydrogen’s wide-reaching effects on the body. It helps to regulate the nervous system, rejuvenate the body, support immune function, and tangibly reduce stress. The feedback from our patients so far has been excellent—especially in terms of healing support. Together, we have now developed a unique method for applying hydrogen directly to the teeth and gums, which we’ve patented,” he adds.
A Glimpse into the Future of Dental Care
According to David Maršálek, dentistry is just the beginning. “Our devices and products are increasingly used in spas, wellness centres, and beauty salons, where hydrogen acts as a catalyst—enhancing and accelerating the effects of conventional treatments. We’re being approached not just by dentists and spa operators, but also by doctors from various medical fields who want to integrate our unique hydrogen application know-how into their practices.
It won’t be long before hydrogen therapy becomes a standard component of patient care across many medical disciplines—just as it already is in Japan. Molecular hydrogen can serve as a supportive treatment alongside conventional therapies, a preventative tool, or a recovery aid,” concludes Maršálek.
