Teplice nad Bečvou Spa: A Pioneer in Hydrogen Therapy

Teplice nad Bečvou Spa has become one of the leading providers of hydrogen therapy in the Czech Republic. Since 2020, this innovative treatment has been gaining popularity among clients who value its beneficial effects on overall health and immunity. “It appears that hydrogen supports the effectiveness of traditional spa therapy,” says Chief Physician Gabriela Hanslianová.

The spa offers hydrogen therapy to self-paying clients in various forms, including inhalation, drinking cures, full-body or partial baths enriched with molecular hydrogen, and specialised massages. The equipment and supplementary products are supplied by H2 Global Group, an Ostrava-based company specialising in the production and distribution of hydrogen-based technologies.

“Molecular hydrogen has proven to be a powerful complement to our traditional spa treatments,” explains Dr Hanslianová. “We use it to enhance the effects of hydrotherapy—both in baths and massages—but inhalation remains the most popular application among our clients.”

Dr Hanslianová and her team were among the first to introduce hydrogen therapy within a state-run spa facility in the Czech Republic. “I’ve been interested in the effects of hydrogen for a long time, but it wasn’t until 2020 that we had the chance to explore its potential in spa medicine more closely, during a visit to Dr Peták’s Sanatorium in Mariánské Lázně. Since then, we’ve been using it in Teplice nad Bečvou. The mysteries of hydrogen are still being uncovered, but it seems to enhance the effects of conventional spa treatments,” she adds.

Celebrating the Spa Season with Hydrogen in the Spotlight
The subsidiary company H2 World Health & Beauty, part of H2 Global Group, will join Teplice nad Bečvou Spa for the Opening of the Spa Season and Spa Run, taking place on Saturday 18 May at the spa complex.

This popular event will offer clients a chance to explore the benefits of hydrogen therapy first-hand, try H2 PREMIUM Hydrogen Water and other hydrogen-based supplements, and take part in a 5, 12, or 21 km run. A lively accompanying programme will round out the day, with the highlight being a performance by Jiří Pavlica and his ensemble Hradišťan.
